Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8” round pan.
Combine cake mix, pudding mix, pie spice and cloves. Add egg, water and pumpkin. Mix on medium for 4 minutes.
Pour into pan. Bake 30 – 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Top with whipped topping (optional).
