Continuous Improvement Project Leader
The Continuous Improvement Project Leader provides expertise in conception, deployment, and maintenance of continuous improvement projects for Chelsea Milling Company. They will evaluate and continuously improve existing processes in a variety of business units. The person in this position will have expertise in project management, data analytics, and collaboration to build strong relationships with CMC personnel across departments and levels of the Company to meet goals. They must have the ability to work cross-functionally and strategically to ensure all operational and project needs are met within the capacity of the continuous improvement group.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Food or Packaging Science.
- 5+ years of proven experience in project execution and continuous improvement in a food manufacturing environment preferably in Flour milling, bulk – dry products material handling, mixing and packaging, or packaged goods conveying, palletizing and material handling
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Experience with plant metrics and visual/data management processes and systems.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, listen, and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning abilities combined with practical business sense.
- Capability to provide technical leadership to business and operations.
- Above average computer skills including MS Office, MS Project, etc.
- A proven track record of being pro-active, taking the initiative.
- Good understanding/insight of regulatory requirements related to employee & food safety, building codes, GMP’s, HACCP and others as appropriate.
