Pizza Crust Mix

Makes delicious, pizzeria-style pizza crust, flavorful breadsticks, and more.

Yields: Two 9″ Strombolis

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Step 2

    In saucepan, combine onions, green pepper, margarine or butter and sizzle steaks. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook until browned; drain.

  • Step 3

    Prepare pizza crust mix as directed on package. On floured surface, knead dough 5 – 6 times. Divide in half and roll each out to 13” x 9” rectangles.

  • Step 4

    Spread sauce over each section of dough, to within 1” of edge. Place steak mixture over sauce and sprinkle with cheese.

  • Step 5

    Beat egg lightly. Brush edges of dough with egg wash. Roll up and pinch ends to seal.

  • Step 6

    Place in pan, seam side down. Slit tops several times for venting and brush with egg wash. Bake 15 – 20 minutes.
